WIAA Eligibility Requirements

WIAA Requirements

In order for a High School student to be eligible to start their season, they must have all required WIAA items completed & be cleared through the high school athletic office. If you are not sure of your last physical, please check with Kelly in the High School Athletics Office now. 

Students will not be able to practice, participate or travel with the team until ALL required items for your sport are received & you have been cleared by the athletic office with your coach. **In addition, students with any outstanding school obligations (missing materials/equipment, uniform, school fees, etc) will not be eligible to start until ALL school fees, fines & obligations are taken care of.**

  • WIAA Physical – current physical signed by a physician on file at school is required (see chart link for physical eligibility)
    • Physicals completed April 1-December 31 are good for the remainder of the existing school year & the following 2 school years (i.e. physical dated May 1, 2024 is good until June 2026)
    • Physicals completed January 1-March 31 are good for the remainder of the school year & the following school year (i.e. physical dated March 3, 2025 is good until June 2026)
    • Physical paperwork can be found on the Athletics Forms page of the website or picked up in the High School office
  • Complete & Submit the Annual Update/Online Registration - this is an annual requirement for all students prior to participation & will satisfy the 2 requirements listed below. Please see this see this reference guide on how to complete the Annual Update.
    • Emergency Contact Information - Required every year & is completed via the Online Registration submission.
    • Concussion & Sudden Cardiac Arrest Waiver - Required every year & is completed via the Online Registration submission.
  • Code of Conduct – Required every school year
    • 2025-26 Code of Conduct video & required google acknowledgement form can be found on the Athletics page of the website under Code of Conduct
    • Student must submit the Google Acknowledgement form at the end of the video to complete this requirement annually
  • Athletic Fee of $80.00**
    • Required for every sport a student participates in at the High School
    • This fee can be paid online via your Parent Portal or in the High School Office
    • In addition, students with any outstanding school obligations (missing materials/equipment, uniform, school fees, etc) will not be eligible to start until ALL school fees, fines & obligations are taken care of.
